We started with regional funding
Our first product recommended regional grants to companies. We soon learned it was not always what people really needed.
So we built Subalta. It helps any organization find the European calls worth pursuing, then the partners, and the people behind them, to build a winning consortium.

Our first product recommended regional grants to companies. We soon learned it was not always what people really needed.
To fund our own development, we targeted an Interreg call. Even from inside the field, finding it took time: these calls travel through networks you have to join and watch constantly.
We went through the usual channels and spent real time and money looking for the right organizations, without success.
Without partners, there was no proposal. The deadline did not move, and the project stopped there.
You post in the right networks, ask around and travel to events loosely related to your theme, sometimes across Europe or to another continent. You network broadly, present what you do and hope the right organization is in the room and that an idea takes shape.
Instead of sending two or three people to the other side of Europe to meet whoever is there, know who the right people are before you go. Then meet them, or simply contact them directly. Whether you are just starting out or already well connected.
We looked for a tool that could do this and found none that really worked. Subalta is the tool we were missing.
Subalta alerts each person to the calls that fit their organization, then predicts the consortium a call needs with our own models, built on Europe's collaboration history. Because a consortium is ultimately a human fit, it goes one step further and shows who to talk to in each organization.
As calls become more competitive, the balance and relevance of the partners around the table often make the difference between a proposal that is funded and one that is not.
European projects do more than finance an idea. They bring people together and open the door to new networks. When a value chain gathers around a funded project, the relationships it creates can outlast the project itself.
By recommending the right organizations, Subalta also opens paths you may not have considered at first, for stronger growth and more innovation.
Our application and its databases run on servers in the European Union. A tool built for European funding should keep its core data close to home.
Every recommendation shows how it was reached and why: role fit, project history, shared partners. You can question any result, and that feedback keeps improving the platform and our models.
Subalta is a facilitator. It finds the right people behind each organization; you decide whether and how to contact them, and your team keeps its relationships and the final decision.
European projects change organizations, put researchers to work and shape what comes next. They all start with the right partners around the table.
